Key features of the community will include:
- respect for each other and the environment
- mutual support
- clear financial structure including ownership, rental, tenure, cost of maintenance (buildings and land), utilities, etc.
- regular meetings, both to define overall policy and sub-groups for day to day running, will be an important ongoing feature. These are likely to be frequent and extended in the early stages.
- an effective decision-making process based on consensus rather than voting will be a core feature.
